According to Aljazeera, one of the leading news outlets in Iraq, the country is currently concerned about the potential spreading of the Coronavirus from their neighboring country, Iran. Iraq recently began banning Iranian immigrants from entering the country. Reports indicate 4 deaths linking back to Iran and officials are being advised to act with extreme precaution.

Coronavirus Disease Prevention
Over the last few months, the coronavirus disease has plagued our world. What started in China has now spread across the globe inflicting everyone in its path. With four confirmed dead in Iran, Iraq is closing down the border until further notice. Analysts say that financial implications will not keep the Iran-Iraq border closed very long.
"Officially known as COVID-19, the virus has so far taken more than 2,300 lives, with the vast majority of those deaths happening in mainland China. It has spread to almost 30 countries including several in the Middle East: besides Iran, where there have been at least 28 confirmed cases, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Israel and Lebanon have all reported infections."

Middle East Analyst is Concerned
Seth Frantzman, "Middle East security analyst, photographer, Ph.D., and Exec Director @MidEast_Center " weighed in on Twitter Feb. 23 to confirm the border closing. He too made note of the potential problems the border being closed could have on trade and travel for both countries.
He also goes a step further to talk about the misinformation problem the government-run media is feeding their people. This could be a potential thing to investigate further.
